The Power Of Numbers

They say, find things that light you up to keep you engaged with life. I try hard to live by this because I have had so many wonderful moments in my life by trying a 'new thing' or taking a leap of faith. Without trying something new or taking that leap I'd never advance or learn all the great things I've learned over the years. The other day I had a numerology reading done. I absolutely love finding new ways to get to know myself on a deeper level. I even like taking online quizzes, watching videos, reading books, or taking classes to increase my knowledge on a given topic even the slightest bit.

After having the reading done I was buzzing with joy with how spot-on these numbers were in connection to my life. How could adding my birth date tell me so much about what my life most likely will look like? Needless to say, I was lit up and wanted to share a little bit about the very basics of numerology and give you some fun ways to explore your own numbers.

Numerology is an ancient technique that uses numbers to assess the character and destiny of a given person. As long as you have a name (such as a business name or your actual name) or a starting date you can find the numbers. For example, if you opened a new business called Joe's Pizza on August 12, 1998, you would have a name and date to work with. The numbers that are used for this system are 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9. Sometimes the "power numbers" are used which are 11,22 and 33. Everything else is always reduced down to a single digit (For example, if you have the number 34 this would be reduced down to 3+4=7). Like I said before, you can use numerology for just about anything but the two most popular numbers to figure out are the Destiny Number and the Life Path Number. Those are the two I will show you how to figure out so you can have some fun of your own! Let's start with the Destiny Number.

The Destiny Number comes from using your whole name. This shows your life's purpose and the way you go about achieving it. Below is the alphabet code and an example of how to do it. (I did both my maiden name and married name to see how my number has evolved over the years.)

Example- Elvis Aron Presley

Elvis 5+3+4+9+1=22

Aron 1+9+6+5=21

Presley 7+9+5+1+3+5+7=37

Put the numbers together: 22+21+37=80

Reduce the numbers: 8+0=8

Number 8 is associated with ambition and hard work, leading to success and oftentimes wealth. I'd say Elvis had a lot of the 8 qualities. Once you have found your number, look up videos on YouTube on what Destiny Number 'X' is and you will learn all about what the attributes are. Or, you can Google your number as well. (I would write the meanings of each number but I try keeping my blogs short and sweet. I don't want people falling asleep while reading the content I create...ha ha!)

The next most popular number is the Life Path Number. This number is quicker to find and can be used to make forecasts about your future. For example, if someone was born on November 23, 1994, you would add the following numbers together:

1+1+2+3+1+9+9+4=30

Then reduce the number: 3+0=3

Kim's Life Path number is 3

You can use this same method to find out an important date. For example, if you got married on April 18, 2017, it would look like this:

4+1+8+2+0+1+7=23

2+3=5

The significant number for your wedding is 5

Once again you can very easily find out the attributes of your Life Path Number from so many places on the Internet or if you are really into numerology you could even buy a book on it (there are tons of them!). Life can be so serious and often you are walking blindfolded through your day. Why not find something fun and interesting to learn and also understand more about yourself at the same time.
