Finding Laughter After Pain and Learning How To Enjoy Your Own Company

Who is Anna Przy:

Anna is a feisty and hilarious millennial who's taken the mental health social media world by storm. With her not-so-serious tone, Anna has become a breath of fresh air in a world weighed down by the pressures we all feel. This sweet-toned Midwesterner tackles the fear of the unknown, dismantles the myth of hustle culture, and fearlessly addresses issues like body image. Her realistic, lighthearted takes on everyday life prove that sometimes laughter really is the best medicine.

What we discussed:

-How I met Anna at a retreat and her amazing keynote speech.

-Growing up, Anna's household was unfortunately one where she felt she couldn't express her feelings. On top of that, being raised by parents who were both world class athletes made her feel constant pressure to succeed and live up to their high standards. She was later diagnosed with ADHD, making her feel even more out of place.

-Anna's earliest memory of depression starting at age six.

-Talking to our children about mental illness in order to raise awareness.

-We don't have to heal alone.

-How Anna ended up in rehab for an eating disorder.

-How Anna's relationship with her parents improved.

-What kind of boss do you have in your mind?

-How ancestral trauma may be part of our healing journey.

-Burn your journal writing you want to release to alchemize the energy into something lighter.

-Celebrate any tiny healing advancement. Keep cheering yourself on.

-How being home during the lockdown changed everything. Anna learned how to be present with herself and enjoyed the quiet.

-How Anna started her social media takeover (haha).
